Over the summer I was flat broke and had no motivation for anything. I took a lot of pictures on film, but had no money to develop them. I tried painting, but I hated everything I did. I've got about 6 projects on the go that I just haven't gotten back to. But now I'm back in school, I have money (though yes, it is a loan that I will spend a decade repaying), I'M DOING THINGS.
I've started buying some jewelry supplies (and made sure that they're good quality!), I've already got a bunch of artwork done for it. Going to be making necklaces with victorian-esque framed pendants holding weird art (demeted faces, detached eyebals), and then we'll see where I go from there. Maybe I'll give up on clothing outside whatever job I manage to get; I'm not sure. But I think I'll be creating a separate deviantART account for it just to keep it as more of a professional page (because I tend to submit everything on this account). I've started a moleskine, so I'll eventually start posting that.
I'm also trying to get my blog going, make it something real. Started with tweaking the layout again (I spent so much time on that it's ridiculous!) [link], doing semi-regular themed posts just so I have some sort of idea what to do with it.
For the first time in a long time, I feel confident that I will complete something (non-school related) that I truly want to do. And it's awesome.
